Fostoria Glass made two Oil & Stoppers in the American pattern. The piece featured in this post is the smaller of the two. Originally, when this item debuted in 1915, it was listed as having a 6 oz. holding capacity. A few years later the catalogs and price lists reflected a 5 oz. holding capacity, and so it remained throughout its many years of production. The height measurement is referring to the total height of the piece, with the D Stopper in place.
The 6-Piece Condiment Sets included two Oils, two Shakers (FGT), one Mustard/Cover & Spoon, and one 9″ Condiment Tray. The 6-Piece Condiment Set was never sold with the larger oil cruets.
