This is the 9 oz. Fostoria American Footed Tumbler. It is a substantial piece of drinkware, even though it is only about 4⅜” tall. Very versatile in its usage, it would be a welcome addition to the breakfast, lunch or dinner table. It is the perfect size for serving juice at breakfast, or water at dinner. Introduced into the American line around 1938, it was produced for many years thereafter.
The Footed Tumbler has a Look-Alike piece in two other glass patterns – Whitehall and American Whitehall. Often mistaken for the other, Whitehall pieces are sold as Fostoria American, and vice-versa. The Fostoria American 9 oz. Footed Tumbler can be seen in the 1961 Catalog & Price List.
